Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a 2022 superhero film and sequel to Black Panther and Avengers: Endgame. It is the thirtieth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the final film in Phase Four of the MCU.
The film centres on the death of T'Challa, the Black Panther, and the subsequent rise of his sister, Shuri, as the new Black Panther. The film opens with Shuri attempting to recreate the heart-shaped herb to cure T'Challa of his terminal illness. However, she is met by Queen Ramonda, who informs her that T'Challa has passed away. A funeral is held for the fallen king of Wakanda, and one year later, the country faces a new threat.

Despite her initial desire for vengeance, Shuri instead calls for a truce between the two nations, recognising the suffering and vulnerability of both peoples.

Marvel Cinematic Universe films are typically shot in studios to allow for the construction of intricate CGI worlds in private. However, the second instalment of the Black Panther franchise, Wakanda Forever, was filmed in various locations across the United States and Puerto Rico.
The film crews of Wakanda Forever were based in Trilith Studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta's arts community, with its rehabilitated warehouses-turned-creative spaces, appealed to the Black Panther crew during the first film. Certain street scenes in the first film were shot in Atlanta, supposedly taking place in South Korea. Such was the case with the fish market chase and the scenes shot in front of the casino entrance. Atlanta's High Museum of Art, with its white facade and exteriors, was also the filming location for the Museum of London in the first film.
In Atlanta, Georgia, production for Wakanda Forever also took place at the 8,000-acre Chattahoochee Hills Eventing, an urban farm that served as the battlefield for the film's final confrontation.
