Bahrain GP's different schedule

The 2024 Formula 1 World Championship starts on the 2nd of March with the Bahrain Grand Prix. This year, the race takes place on a Saturday instead of the usual Sunday due to the Islamic holy month of Ramadan starting on Sunday, 10 March. As the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which would normally take place on that day, has been brought forward to Saturday, the Bahrain Grand Prix has also been moved forward to comply with F1 rules that there must be at least a week between two races.

The Bahrain GP's different schedule means that practice took place on Thursday, with two sessions, and qualifying on Friday. The Grand Prix itself will be held on Saturday at 3 pm.

The 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix also followed this schedule, with two practice sessions on Friday, a third practice session and qualifying on Saturday, and the race on Sunday.
