Lastly, if you are receiving services and want to check what you've got in place or make some changes, you can manage your services.
The My Aged Care team can support you over the phone. You can also visit one of the 30 aged care hubs at participating libraries across Australia to learn more about the latest improvements to aged care.
To find out if you are eligible for services, the first step is to have an assessment. Assessments are done in person, usually at your own home. You can check your eligibility by using the eligibility checker, which will help you determine whether you meet the requirements for an assessment before you apply. The Australian Government subsidises aged care services to make them more affordable and accessible. The subsidy amount depends on your needs and income. If you have been assessed for the Commonwealth Home Support Program, you don't need to complete a means assessment, and you will only be asked to contribute to the cost of your care if you can afford it.
